Cuttack: The city of Cuttack is decorated. While the government is embarking on a number of new projects for the development of Cuttack, the process of making the Cuttack General Hospital a global one has begun. A review meeting chaired by Central Revenue Commissioner Anil Kumar Samal was held on Friday to discuss the redevelopment and expansion of the Cuttack Acharya Harihar Cancer Center, Shishubhavan, along with the SCCB. In addition, there are plans to increase the number of beds to 300 in the orphanage. A final outline or master plan will be drawn up soon. On the other hand, the construction of the SCCB renovation scheme was discussed at a review meeting of the RDC, which is scheduled to be completed by the end of December 2023. The Red Cross Blood Bank, police quarters are all planned to be relocated for the expansion of Acharya Harihar. The final outline for the redevelopment of the Acharya Harihar Cancer Center will be drawn up with how to eradicate the encroachment from the occupied territories, all arrangements for patients coming from outside the Cancer Center, indoor patient services, modernization of the OT. Dr. Lalatendu Sadangi made various proposals and discussed the issue. During the meeting, Central Commissioner Shri Samal said that plans were also being made to increase the number of beds in the Shishu Bhavan. There are currently 618 beds in the Shishu Bhavan. The review meeting was attended by District Magistrate Bhavani Shankar Chayani, Ananya Das of CMC Commission, Superintendent of Works Department Tarakant Mishra, SCB Chairman Prof. Dr. Datteshwar Hota, Superintendent Prof. Dr. Lucy Das, Prof. Dr. Jayant Panda, Shishubhavan Superintendent, Prof. Dr. Departmental officials including administrative officer Kalpataru Behera, Rudra Narayan Das, Additional Revenue Secretary Vivekananda Sahu were present. It is pertinent to note here that 400 government quarters, 33 government offices, forcibly occupied quarters have been demolished for the SCSB renovation. With the completion of the demolition process, a review was made today of when the construction of the buildings to be built by the EKM company will begin. As the demolition process is over, the RDC has informed that construction of the SSCB will begin soon.
