Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today unveiled two online mining services, Customs Integrated Services (CIMSS) and Stockyard Management Methods (SMSS) under the Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC) under five. Praising the OM4C’s contribution to the development of the state, the Chief Minister said that the OM4C is one of the fastest growing in the mining sector. He hopes that the OMGC will emerge as one of the country’s leading PSUs. The Chief Minister called on it to create a unique identity in terms of social commitment, environmental sensitivity and technology efficiency. It will be easier to do business with OM4C through the two online services launched today. Being under 5 can lead to transparency and efficiency in the sale and delivery of minerals. Customers will receive separate dashboards for registration, stock valuation, stock, weekly shipping report, status of the allotment, total sales, grievance status, and mineral-based delivery. The system will be linked to the i3M8S4, M7STC’s e-auction platform and OM4C’s SAP. Similarly, the SMSS system has been applied to the sand mountain stockyard in the OM4C Daitari iron ore mine. Its key components include unmanned weight bridges, transportation schedules, digital identification, parking management, automatic weighing and real-time reporting, etc. OMC’s iron ore production is expected to exceed 20 million tonnes next year. The company has received all the necessary approvals for its Khandolite mine, and production is expected to begin soon.
