For the first time in such a critical period, China has shown interest in importing rice from India. Thirty years later, such a miracle is going to happen. China ranks first in the world in terms of rice imports, while India ranks number one in exports. But China has never shown interest in buying rice from India. It called Indian rice substandard. It used to buy rice every year from Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar and Pakistan. This year the situation is in favor of India. The countries from which China bought rice have less rice due to floods and other reasons. Their rice prices are also high. At the same time, India is offering huge discounts on its rice. So China does not want to miss out on this opportunity. China imports 4 million tons of rice every year. BB Krishna Rao, president of the Rice Exporters Association, said China had shown interest in importing rice three decades later. From December this year to February next year, Indian exporters have allotted 100,000 tonnes of rice to China. Rice will be exported to China at a cost of Rs 22,132 per ton.
