Balasore District Superintendent Minister Pratap Jena, State Organization Secretary and Senior MLA Pranab Prakash Das, Senior MLAs Devi Mishra, Pratap Deb, former MP and BJD district president Rabindra Jena, former MLA Jeevan Pradeep Das, former mayor Alok Sahu were present at the function. Khatua, former British president Gauri Raut, district youth president Shuvendu Mangraj were prominently present. Ranjan Pradhan, Ranjan Bagh, Congress leader Pradeep Kumar Patra and their supporters also joined the BJD, including Mr Deng. Rumors are rife that the party may mediate or nominate Arun to end the infighting. On the other hand, a large number of women leaders and activists were seen at the amalgamation ceremony today. The amalgamation ceremony was attended by women leaders working in various parties and women’s voluntary organizations in the Sadar block and Baleshwar municipality. In this regard, it is rumored that the party is likely to field a female leader from here.
