Bhubaneswar: M Rajeshwar Rao, executive director of the Reserve Bank of India, has been appointed as the new deputy governor. His appointment was approved by the Cabinet Committee. In November 2016, Mr. Rao was appointed as the ED of the Reserve Bank. Prior to that, he served as CGM of the Financial Market Operations Department of the Reserve Bank. He joined the Reserve Bank on the 19th.
