Dharamsala: Police rescued a college student abducted from Dharamsala area of Jajpur district on the 5th of last night. The kidnappers were able to apprehend Abdul Sehmat Khan of Chormuha village. Dharamsala police officer Saroj Kumar Sahu, who was arrested from Cuttack (Jagatpur) area, informed both. After being founded on viral audio injuries yesterday requested the police action, eager pretense was given mailto movement on behalf of multiple unions, which was a challenge for the police. Based on various information, the police were able to raid different locations and reach out to both of them. Later, at a press conference, police are expected to provide details of the incident. It is pertinent to note here that the abducted student called her mother to rescue her from the hands of the kidnappers. Tell my father to save me; “Otherwise, they’ll kill me and throw me away.” Police have arrested Abdul Sehmat Khan, the father of the accused, in connection with the incident. There has been a strong reaction in the local area to the incident. Abdul Sehmat Khan alias Bobby, a young man from a minority village in neighboring Chormuha village, first befriended a young woman from Chahta village under Dharamsala police station. The girl was abducted by Sehmat Khan on May 5 while she was on her way to Byasanagar Autonomous College for her migration certificate. Police said he and his family feared for his life. Muslims attempted to forcibly marry young women by physically and mentally abusing them. His father reported the matter to the Dharamsala police station after learning from his daughter over the phone. Police on Monday arrested Abdul Hamid Khan, the father of the main accused, and took him to Chandikhola court on charges of conspiracy to kidnap the girl and threatening to kill her parents. The JMFC heard the bail application and remanded the accused in judicial custody for 14 days.
