CM considers health as wealth, considers every life precious: BJD

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has accepted health as wealth. The state considers every life precious. He emphasizes three aspects in the field of health. The Chief Minister has always emphasized on how everyone can get access to health care, good treatment and quality treatment at affordable prices. BJJ said this in a press conference on Friday regarding the availability of health services.

BJD National Spokesperson Santhraptha Mishra said, the state government has vaccinated 90 percent of people during the Covid-19 pandemic, which is higher than the national average. The state government has made preparations to deal with epidemics like covid in future. Sports infrastructure is developed to keep people healthy. 2525 doctors and 1044 doctors have been created in Odisha in 22-23. Similarly, 4000 doctors and 9000 nurses have been hired in the last 4 years. Even so, 15% reservation has been made in medical texts for children studying through Odia.

BJD spokesperson Mr. Mishra said, Biju Health Welfare Yojana (BSKY) is a revolutionary initiative. Under this scheme, poor people can get treatment in big hospitals. Patients can be treated in 652 hospitals in the state and 164 hospitals outside the state. Millions of people are involved in it. While it was 70 percent in 2020, now it has reached only 10 to 11 percent. 750 medicines are available for free under Niramay Yojana. Diagnostic tests are free. People can reach the hospital by 108 ambulances. The patient can reach the hospital in 20 minutes. Many people are also availing our clinic.

Mr. Mishra said, “Doctors will go to the village through the Chief Minister’s Air Force and treat them.” A mobile clinic has been arranged. From 2005 to 2020, the infant mortality rate for BSKY has dropped from 75 to 36. Maternal mortality rate is also lower than the national average. Malaria has reduced by a whopping 94 percent. The government has provided insect repellants. TB has also declined.
