New Delhi: The All India Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CAIT) has called for more use of indigenous goods and boycotting Chinese goods during the festive season this year. As a result, it is estimated that China will be hit by a Rs 60,000 crore crisis. The All India Campaign “Indian Goods-Our Campaign” continues on behalf of the Federation for the Consumption of Chinese Goods.
The federation has called for this year’s Diwali to be celebrated as Diwali in India. “It simply came to our notice then. The federation has also called for the observance of Ganesha worship in a niara manner. It is advising people to worship clay idols made of clay. Ganesh Puja is celebrated in Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Karnataka, Goa, Kerala, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, West Bengal, Delhi and Chhattisgarh. This year, 6, 8 and 12 inch clay sculptures are being made to meet the needs of Ganesha worship. Basil seeds and other vegetable seeds are also used. As a result, after the idol is removed, the seeds will be added to the soil and turned into trees. Praveen Khandelwal, director general of the federation, said the country has a festive season from Ganesh Puja to Diwali. During this period, goods worth Rs 35,000-60,000 crore are imported from China. If people use indigenous goods, they do not have to ask for Chinese goods. Large quantities of sculptures, agarbati, toys, electronics, electric bulbs, litchi bulbs, decorative items, brass and other metal lamps, furnishing factories, kitchenware are imported from China during the festive season.
