BALESWAR: Cine star Arindam is rumored to be the BJD candidate from Balasore’s Sadar constituency on social media. The by-elections are set to take place here after the death of BJP MLA Madan Mohan Dutt. Discussions have begun over who the BJP will field in the by-elections. Arindam responded today. Arindam said he had no idea he would be a candidate. “If the party trusts me and tells me to run for office, I will run.” But I haven’t thought about it yet. Arindam also said he would take on the responsibilities of the party supremo.
Arindam was rumored to be running for the Baleshwar Sadar by-election for several days. Arindam has now opened his mouth after discussions on the issue. It is, of course, different that former MP Rabindra Jena himself is aiming to run in the by-elections. His wife Subhasini Jena and former MLA Jeevan Pradeep Das are also in the running.
