Bhubaneswar: BJP in-charge Purandeshwari, who is on a visit to Odisha, today lashed out at the state government at a press conference. The BJP in-charge has demanded strict accountability of all the promises made by the state government, starting with law and order in the state. Purandeshwari at a press conference held at the state office. He said the BJD had ruled Odisha for 20 years in the name of good governance. He said the state government did not want the welfare of the poor. If the state government wanted the welfare of the poor, the central government would have introduced the Ayushman Bharat scheme. The state government, on the other hand, has been pledging to provide clean drinking water to all rural and urban people for 10 years, but to this day only the people of the state will know what percentage of the government has provided drinking water to the people. Purandeshwari complained that there are no tube wells in 1,250 villages in the state so far. The state government has so far failed to provide kitchens to nearly 200,000 eligible beneficiaries in rural areas. He has also targeted the state government over agricultural issues. He said the central government had introduced a new agricultural bill for the betterment of farmers, which would improve farmers’ economic standards. However, the state government is backing the farmers’ movement here out of greed for the vote bank. The central government provides Rs 6,000 crore to the farmers’ accounts every year under the Prime Minister’s Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. But is the black plan that the state government enacted to manipulate the vote of the farmers during the election now in force? He questions whether farmers are getting Rs 10,000 per annum under the scheme. He also questioned where the black money went.
