Nayagarh / Gania: Husband Sajila Satan for dowry. The husband was brutally beaten to death for trying to seduce a minor. The body was recovered four days after the murder. A similar incident took place in Chhadmul village under Chamundia panchayat in Gania block of Nayagarh district. According to information received, Rinarani Nahak of Chadmul was married to Himanshu Nayak of Jilinda in Narsinghpur block of Cuttack district under the age of 15. After the outing, Himanshu was sexually abusing his wife. There has always been a quarrel between the husband and wife, which is why Reena, the wife of the last three months, has been living at the base of her father’s house. In such a situation, her husband Himanshu came to his father-in-law’s house last Monday (23rd) and took his wife, two sons and daughter to his village. His father-in-law Basant Nahak was not present at the time. He is thought to have survived an earlier attempt to oust him following Mr Jiang’s intervention. On the day of the incident, Basant arrived at the house and was upset to see his daughter and grandson. The son-in-law came from the neighbors and got the news that the girl had been taken away. Reena has been missing for the past 23 days, according to her father.
