Bhubaneswar: The state government today took two big steps to blow the trumpet for both the Baleshwar and Tirthol by-elections. On the one hand, the Chief Minister has laid the foundation stone for the Tirthol-Poshal High Bridge on the Mahanadi at a cost of Rs 117.56 crore and the Jaipur-Katikata High Bridge on the Mahanadi at a cost of Rs 117.56 crore on the Mahanadi to attract voters. On the other hand, the Chief Minister announced that in three years all the slums in the state would be transformed into a model colony, but he made a big move for the upcoming municipal elections, launching the slum improvement scheme from Balasore in Baleshwar on the pretext of two victims in one shot. Such a move by the Chief Minister is highly valued in the political arena. The BJP government is said to be attracting people by taking such steps on major issues in the local area before each election and by-elections.
