Bhubaneswar: The BJD’s executive meeting chaired by party president Naveen Patnaik was held at the Biju Janata Dal’s state headquarters today. Six proposals were passed at the meeting. The meeting was attended by 40 executive members, invited vice presidents and senior leaders. The meeting began with a wreath-laying ceremony at the statue of Biju Babu. A 1-minute silent prayer was offered for the late leader. The BJP is a party of people dedicated to the service of the people. Party president and chief minister Naveen Patnaik called on the executive to do the work of the people every day on a priority basis. The President was welcomed by Pranab Prakash Das, Organizing Secretary. At the grassroots level, the BJD has become more organized and the number of party members has reached more than 1 crore. The confidence of the people and the Hon’ble Chief Minister in the party is growing day by day. For the Chief Minister, the party stands today. Not only that, the image of the Chief Minister will never be tarnished and Pranab Prakash Das said that the development work of the BJD and the Chief Minister across the state should be conveyed from house to house. Senior leaders opined that the Centre’s negligence and negative approach were obstacles to the development of the state. Despite all this, all the pro-people work in the state is underway and will continue for the groundbreaking direction of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. Not only that, but various natural disasters continue to hit the state. Under the leadership of the Chief Minister, the state government has been able to deal with this. Similarly, the BJD has always worked for the priority and overall development of agriculture and farmers. As per the recommendations of the Swaminathan Committee, the fight for MHSP will continue. Odisha is completely entitled to a separate state. But the central government has repeatedly cheated, despite promises. So the party will continue to make demands on how the state will become a separate state going forward.
