Bhubaneswar: The Economic Offenses Branch (EOW) of the Crime Branch’s OTV CFO (Chief Financial Officer) and the director of Odisha Infratech Pvt Ltd (OITL) have arrested Manoranjan Sadangi today after investigating the much-hyped Khordha Sarua land corruption case. In the afternoon, Manoranjan was produced in the residential court of Khordha district Douraj. For further questioning, the EOW remanded Mr Sadangi in custody for three days. A case has been registered in the EOW under sections 420, 43, 6, 7, 41, 120 (b) of the IPC and the SC, ST Act. According to information received, Manoranjan Sadangi and Bibhu Rath joined as directors after OTV MD4 Jagimangat Panda resigned as director of Odisha Infratech Pvt. The company began buying land in Sarua since June 2010. The company wanted to buy a large amount of Scheduled Castes land. There are revenue laws to protect the land of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. If a company is sold, it has to follow the right process. The law also stipulates that the Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes should not be landless when buying and selling. To avoid falling into the trap of law Between 2010 and 2013, land was purchased at the price of vegetables. In 2010, Ravi Sethi, the driver of one of the company’s lowest-paid directors, bought a large amount of land. But the ownership of the land was in the name of Odisha Infratech Pvt Ltd instead of Ravi. The EOW investigation revealed that Ravi was a Scheduled Caste person and was only used for the purchase and sale of Scheduled Caste land. Similarly, the addresses of Ravi and Odisha Infratech Pvt Ltd (C-1, Chandrasekharpur) were similar. According to Ravi, he was taken to various authorities and his signatures were taken on various documents. He did not know what was written in it. While Rs 4.5 lakh was mentioned in Cell6, Rabi was said to get Rs 2 lakh to Rs 3 lakh for this. But no money was found in this regard. Ravi said in a statement that he feared losing his job if he did not sign the documents. Ravi and the seller had separately lodged a written complaint with the Khordha district magistrate regarding the land purchase fraud. On October 16, the state government ordered a crime branch investigation into the district attorney’s recommendation. After a 15-day investigation by the crime branch, Sarua’s land was exposed. Odisha Infratech planned to buy the land tactically.
