New Delhi: The Supreme Court has stayed the acquisition deal between the much-hyped Reliance Retail and Future4 Retail. After hearing appeals from Amazon.com and three other sources, the court said the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) could look into the deal from different angles, but could not reach a final verdict. The court’s order has come as a shock to Mukesh. Mukesh’s dream of becoming the emperor of the country’s retail market was to be fulfilled through this understanding. But Jeff Bezos, the world’s richest man, stands as a thorn in his side of this success. “In each case, the people have, for the first time, been offered a chance to vote. A bench of Justices R.F. Nariman and B.R. They have been asked to answer within three weeks. The next hearing in the case will be five weeks later. Amazon has been informed by the court that it has reached an agreement to sell its Retail Group deal to Reliance Industries, a market leader, in violation of the terms of the Futures Group. It now has to be approved by the NCL4. In a bid to ease the debt burden, the teenager, who is struggling to repay a huge loan, agreed in August last year to sell his dream retailer to Mukesh Ambani’s company. Had the deal been completed, he would have received around Rs 27,000 crore. But in the past, when he negotiated a small business with Amazon, he accepted a condition that now appears to be the biggest problem for him. Amazon was challenged at the Singapore International Arbitration Center after a deal with Reliance was announced. After that, Amazon has reached the High Court and now the Supreme Court.
